What is Local HAGUMU?

Local HAGUMU are Hagumun characters dressed in the specialties and motifs of each of Japan’s 47 prefectures — famous fruits and vegetables, traditional crafts, local scenery. Every one of them looks different, so simply comparing them is half the fun.

Tap a prefecture on the map of Japan and its local Hagumun appears. It makes an easy way for parents and children to talk about what each region is known for, and to learn prefecture names together. Prefectures not yet released are shown as a "secret" silhouette and will be added over time.
